Big Christmas Joulutortut Pastry
Gather
- 1 cup soft margarine
- 1 cup flour
- 1/3 cup cold water
- 1 teaspoon vinegar
- 1/4 cup plum jam
- 1/4 cup milk

Go
- Place margarine, flour, water and vinegar in a
large bowl. With clean hands, mix the ingredients until
they form a ball of dough.
- Put dough in the refrigerator until firm.
- Place dough on floured surface, and flatten using a
rolling pin.
- Fold dough in half and roll out again. Repeat this
step four times.
- Roll out dough into a rectangle 1/2-inch thick.
- Spread plum jam on half of the rectangle. Fold the
bare half over, and press edges together with a fork.
- Put pastry on a cookie sheet and paint with milk,
using a pastry brush.
- Ask a parent to bake it for 20 to 25 minutes at 450
degrees F, and remove when light brown.
