MPAA Rating: PG
No matter which way he turns, torment lurks for this savvy seventh grader named Max. Fed up with being pounded by bullies and unfairly punished by the principal, Max comes up with the perfect plan: sabotage the school, then take advantage of his family's move to Chicago to escape taking responsibility. He enlists the help of his best friends Megan and Robe to carry out the mischief.
The three friends stick together through thick and thin. Bullies, bad bosses and self-centered teachers are presented as terribly poor role models. These things along with the absence of drugs and alcohol are great, but the violence and romantic tones are sometimes overwhelming and almost always unrealistic. Rude expressions take some of the fun out of watching this movie, but luckily Max does experience a change of heart after discovering that he'll have to face the music for all the damage he's done.
Distributor: Walt Disney Pictures
Director: Tim Hill
Actors: Alex D. Linz as Max Keeble, Zena Grey as Megan, Josh Peck as Robe, Larry Miller as Principal Jindraike, Jamie Kennedy as the Evil Ice Cream Man and others.
