Orange Gingerbread Cake
Gather
- 2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon cloves
- 1/2 cup chopped dates (optional)
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 cup oil
- 1/2 cup orange juice
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 cup maple syrup

Go
- Combine all dry ingredients in a large bowl.
- Add dates and stir again.
- Beat eggs, oil, juice, milk and syrup in separate bowl.
- Mix into flour mixture.
- Pour into oiled 9-by-13-inch pan.
- Bake at 350 degrees F for 30 to 40 minutes.
